SCRABBLE News . . .

   On Sunday, January 15, the Spokane SCRABBLE Club met again at the Pasadena Ridge club house. Although there were only 5 who attended, we had good scrabble and good times. When Peggy saw how few there were, she said, "You only need four people to play" and make getting together worthwhile. And she was right. Two new people came, and hopefully, they will return. Julie is a resident of Pasadena Ridge and a newbie scrabble player. She was very happy to have so few in attendance so that she could get used to playing strategically, and with the clock.
   Over the Christmas holidays, John and I entertained two SCRABBLE players from Portland. We spent two evenings playing serious scrabble. I knew it was serious when I laid a word down and then asked Tom," Is that how you spell that?" He gave me a look that said, "You don't really think I'm going to tell you?"
